Are you a fan of Bridgerton, Netflix's incredibly popular Regency drama? Seventy scenes, spread over 14 locations, were shot in Bath for Season 1 – the most extensive and ambitious filming ever undertaken in Bath.

 

I can take you on a two-hour walking tour of the filming spots. These include the Royal Crescent (home of the pushy Featheringtons), Abbey Green (setting for the Modiste) and Holburne Museum (Lady Danbury’s mansion). You’ll also discover how streets in Bath were turned into Regency Mayfair in London.

 

I will reveal behind-the-scenes snippets, and provide insights into the accuracy of Bridgerton's portrayal of life in Regency England.

 

The tour will also cover what was filmed in Bath for Bridgerton's subsequent seasons and the spin-off Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.  Season 4 is being released in early 2026.

Bath has appeared in dozens of films and TV series over the years – think Vanity Fair, The Duchess, Les Miserables and ITV's detective series McDonald and Dodds, to name but a few.

 

Parts of the city were turned into a winter wonderland for the filming of Wonka, the blockbuster prequel to Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory story, which appeared in cinemas in late 2023. A number of scenes in the latest adaptation of Jane Austen’s Persuasion (on Netflix) were filmed in Bath too.
